Authenticity & Provenance Disclaimer
Aucemo is a registry. We verify the people behind records and secure those records — but we do not appraise objects or guarantee that they are genuine. This disclaimer explains exactly where our responsibility begins and ends.

1What Aucemo is — and isn't
Aucemo is an identity-backed registry that lets owners record assets, attach stories and media, and anchor tamper-proof certificates and provenance events. Aucemo is not an appraiser, authenticator, valuer, auctioneer, gemmologist, art expert or insurer, and does not independently inspect, test or authenticate any physical object.
2User-provided information
The descriptions, valuations, history, photographs and documents associated with an asset are provided by the owner or their authorised representative. We verify the identity of that person; we do not verify the truth of every statement they make about the object.
3No guarantee of authenticity or value
A certificate or record on Aucemo confirms that a verified person registered an asset and that the record has not been tampered with. It is nota guarantee that the object is genuine, original, undamaged, or worth any particular amount. Any valuation shown reflects the owner's claim or a third-party document they uploaded.
4Provenance events are claims
Provenance entries — revaluations, condition notes, exhibitions, insurance milestones and transfers — record what users assert at a point in time. Their value lies in the verified identity behind them and their tamper-proof timestamp, not in independent confirmation by Aucemo.
5Buyer due diligence
If you are considering buying or insuring an asset based on an Aucemo record, you should carry out your own independent verification, inspection and valuation through appropriate experts. Aucemo records are a tool to support that process, not a substitute for it.
6Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aucemo is not liable for losses arising from reliance on the accuracy, authenticity or valuation of any user-provided record, or from transactions between users. Our liability is limited as set out in the Terms of Service.
7Disputes between users
Disputes about ownership, authenticity or value are between the parties involved. Aucemo may, at its discretion, provide records relevant to a dispute, flag or restrict an asset, and cooperate with lawful requests, but does not adjudicate such disputes.
8Reporting suspected fraud
If you believe a record is fraudulent or an asset is misrepresented, report it to support@aucemo.com. We investigate credible reports and may suspend assets or accounts under our Acceptable Use Policy.
